The return to normal wait times comes after years plagued by delays as the department worked through a backlog caused largely by the coronavirus pandemic.Processing time for routine service is now six to eight weeks and two to three weeks for expedited service (which costs an additional $60), the department said. Man convicted of murder at Montalvin Manor meth house PITTSBURG — A Bay Area man has been convicted in a fatal shooting that occurred outside a known West Contra Costa drug house more than eight years ago.Andrew Cordova, 34, was convicted this month of second degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Deon Ward, who was shot multiple times on the 2100 block of Stanton Avenue in unincorporated Montalvin Manor on the morning of Oct. 4, 2015. Cordova and Ward allegedly got into a confrontation earlier, prosecutors say, before Cordova left the area, retrieved a gun, and fired at Ward.The case went unsolved for years. It wasn’t until 2019 that Cordova and his cousin, 27-year-old Michael Jeremy Collins, were arrested and charged with murder. 1 arrested in connection to Broomfield homicide investigation DENVER (KDVR) — A man was arrested in connection to the death of a 43-year-old woman, whose body was found inside a Broomfield home at around noon on Dec. 14.The victim has not been identified. She was found by police who were called to a home in the 3100 block of Promontory Loop for a welfare check. Crews still on the scene of Aurora five-alarm apartment fire The suspect was identified as Daniel Krug, 43, and arrested on Saturday, Dec. 16. He was booked into the Broomfield Detention Center on a charge of first-degree murder.Krug is being held without bond pending the formal filing of charges by the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office.According to Broomfield police, no further details will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
