ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Fire Chief Joseph Gregory addressed the public to provide an update regarding the early-morning fire on Grand Street in Albany's Mansion Neighborhood. Other city officials were in attendance. BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms there are some deaths and injuries after a tornado struck some areas south of the St. Louis region Wednesday morning. MSHP was not able to confirm how many people have died or were hurt from the tornado. Rescue and search operations continue Wednesday in Bollinger County. FOX 2's Chris Higgins has been following the situation closely and shared many photos of damages from Glenallen, one community of Bollinger County. An intense storm system made way overnight in Bollinger County and other counties a little closer to Cape Girardeau. Tornadoes were warned in the 3 a.m. hour. Police are searching for missing 7-year-old Derek Clay from the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The child was last seen on Tuesday, April 4, at around 4:30 p.m. in the courtyard of an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. Derek is described as a Black 7-year-old male who has short black hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He's 5 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds. An early-morning fire in Buena Park has forced 15 people out of their homes.The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in the 7700 block of 10th Street and was knocked down in 51 minutes by more than 40 firefighters, according to the Orange County Fire Authority."Our crews here were hampered with some challenges such as wires down that were affected by the fire," said Capt. Thanh Nguyen. "And then also, multiple units involved in fire."The OCFA added on Twitter that about $2 million worth of damage was done to the structure, plus another $250,000 to the contents of the units.Though no injuries were reported, the blaze did spread to a second building, though it remains unclear if the damage to that second structure is included in the dollar amount cited by fire officials.Fifteen people, four of whom are children, were displaced. A man wanted in connection with a string of commercial-kitchen grease thefts was arrested late last month, authorities with the Beverly Hils Police Department announced Monday. The suspect, identified as Alfred Jose Padilla of Lynwood, was taken into custody after an “investigative traffic stop” just before 2 a.m. on March 24, according to a BHPD news release. While authorities did not provide the exact location of the traffic stop or say how much stolen grease he had on him, they did note that the suspect was also in possession of a loaded firearm and a controlled substance.
